Celebrate the release of Harriet Constable’s “The Instrumentalist” in paperback. and gain a fascinating insight into the life of orphan Anna Maria, pupil of Antonio Vivaldi whose rising star threatens to eclipse that of her mentor.

With musical interludes from Vivaldi’s Four Seasons we will transport you back to 18th century Venice as we find out more about Anna Maria’s struggle to be heard.

About the Author

Harriet Constable is a journalist, filmmaker and author based in London. Her journalism and documentary work has featured in outlets including the Guardian, The Times, Financial Times, Economist, BBC, New York Times and NPR. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s School of Journalism summer school and is a Pulitzer Center grantee and a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. With The Instrumentalist, Harriet Constable was selected as an Observer Debut Novelist 2024. It was published in hardback in August 2025 debuting at #10 on The Times hardback fiction bestseller list.
