We have teamed up with the Summer Cafe (located at the top of Malmesbury High Street) to provide our customers with a gift experience that they will remember long after that special occasion has passed. The Books and Cakes experience entitles you to a personalised shopping experience with one of our knowledgeable staff team who will curate a selection of books specially for you and talk you through the selections and recommendations. Then you will have time to ponder your choices at leisure while tucking into delicious cake and a hot drink from the Summer Cafe.

With two price points this is a gift that will suit all budgets and can be tailored for children as well.

For £50 you can receive books to the value of £30 ( a good choice for our younger readers)

Your consultation will last approximately 30 minutes and you will have a further 30 minutes to enjoy your cake and decide upon your choices. You will leave with a pile of books and hopefully relaxed and fulfilled from your Barn Owl Books indulgence.

When you receive your Books and Cake voucher you will need to phone us to book your experience appointment. Sessions run on Tuesdays - Fridays 10am - 4pm and we do keep some limited early evening slots available too. Before your experience we will phone you or email you to find out a little bit more about your book tastes so that we can prepare initial selections before you arrive. Sessions take place in our Reading Room upstairs where you can enjoy your experience in comfort and peace. When you arrive you will be given a cake menu to make your selection from which will then be flown by owl post to our friends at the Summer Cafe
